The WVSU women's basketball team took off on a 12-0 run midway through the first half to take a 28-15 lead and went on from there to defeat visiting Davis and Elkins Wednesday.

     Jasmine Blanton had a big game finishing with 22 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists while Asia Greenleaf contributed 10 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Jackets.

     Kashauna Cook and Sissy Wagner each added 10 points while Jordan Brock pulled down 10 rebounds.

     The Yellow Jackets were playing without leading leading scorer Chelsey Davis who has been lost for the season after tearing the ACL and MCL in her left knee in a game just before Christmas.
